I was wondering how to change the team name just for my computer so it won't be for all players in that game.
mp_teamname_1 team does not work; it does not change the name.

The team names are representative of the groups that you belong to on Steam.
In order to change the team name you must belong to any group that has a tag. You can find these groups under the Community section of your Steam Interface. Many public groups are open to join with little hassle. Simply click the join group link on the right hand side.
After you sign up to any of these groups you can change your settings in game to the tag you want. In game go to "Settings menu" → "Game Settings" → "Team" → "Steam Group Clan Tag":
Alt-F4 doesn't work for me either and I'm on a normal computer. But I'm not sure if Alt-F4 is supposed to work - CS games for years now used F10 to close the game and this works for me.

The command is correct, but it has to be done on the server you're playing on (or remotely using RCON). Also the team names and other settings of this kind are only visible to spectators.
If you're using those commands on your computer they would only work if you hosted the game locally. Joining a server and using them locally does nothing.
