As a Holy Paladin, look for gear that has Intellect (increases Mana pool), spellpower (bigger heals), crit and haste. don't specificially gear for MP5/spirit. Unforunately for levels 60-70, gear will be a hodge-podge. Look at cloth, leather and mail gear as well, as some of the pieces are better itemized for healing, then the plate items available from outland. Keep you divine plea up, and use judgement of light up to help your healing and keep your haste buff up. Switch to judgement of wisdom if you're mana is getting real low. Also decide if you want to spam Holy Light (more crit) or Flash of Light (more SP). Check out EltistJerks.com, their fourms have a lot of useful info on gearing, though it is aimed more at end-game raiders.
OK, questions has been asked many times.
Here is what you do while leveling:
Do Battlegrounds, as A) It gets you honour but B) It now gets you experience points for completing objectives which means your "killing 2 birds with one stone" as the expression goes.
DO NOT spend your Honour Points whatever you do. Wait until you get to level 80. Even when you get to level 80, do not spend them, as you wont have nearly enough for what you need.
Once you reach level 80, there are several things you need to do. Firstly I would suggest not going to BG as you will get destroyed. Instead doing your HC's and getting PvE gear. Once you have decent PvE gear, you can start doing things Like VoA which allows you to gain your PvP gear. Also with decent PvE gear you can half decently play PvP BG, although with no resilience you are bound go get done.
Once you have accumulated the Honour Points you need, start buying your PvP gear. First of, you want to get the set bonus that gives you 100+ resilience, this is two items. If you want to do PvP you need to get this quickly, therefore you need to get the cheapest two items, (normally shoulders and hands if I remember correctly). Once this is done you are good to keep adding, once you have your 100+ resi, you'll find it much easier to do PvP but not that wrathful gear is out, our still going to struggle.
Additionally what you want to do is gain Sons of Hodir reputation to allow you to get the head enchant for when you get your head.
REMEMBER: Always gem and enchant your itmes with the best you can possibly get as soon as possible.

You should be able to continue levelling in heirloom gear until level 81 - the level restriction on the gear includes level 80, but once you reach level 81 they will stop providing their experience bonus but continue providing their level 80 stats.
Is it worth noting that none of these patterns are specifically 'healing' patterns - this is a trend that shows throughout the Cataclysm expansion in that frequently healers end up going for gear with Intellect and another stat that isn't Spirit on them.
The gear set that can be made by leatherworkers is called The Big Wave. This item set is mail gear with four random stats on each piece of gear;
To make the full set you will need the following materials;
Personally though, I would recommend that due to how close we are to Mists of Pandaria's release, to go with whatever gear is currently cheapest on the auction house on your realm, regardless of whether it is PvE or PvP gear - whatever gear you use before level 85 is only going to get replaced as soon as you reach the level cap so approach gearing characters at this point in the expansion as an exercise in spending as little gold as possible.
