[SalesForce] Creating a hyperlink in an email template

For some reason, I can't get that to appear as a clickable link on my HTML email template.

Here is the exact code I'm putting into the HTML template :

<a href="https://fastfor.ms/ZS42BA?Survey__c.Client__c={!Incident__c.IncIDText__c}">LINK TEXT</a>

And for some reason that is not appearing as a hyperlink on the template.

Any ideas ?

Please follow this step, it will work.

Create a HTML Email Template.
Write "Link" word, in the body.
Highlight the "Link" word and then click on hyperlink icon on the Formatting Controls toolbar.
Specify the path only.

This attribute contentEditable="true" is only an HTML attribute, so it enables you to edit the content of what is on an HTML page, but SalesForce doesn't know about your edits or send your changes out with the email.

Editable emails would really be nice, but VF e-mail templates don't seem to have that feature.

Visualforce tries really hard to not allow potential security issues. One of the things that is included in this is not allowing HTML to be inserted from merge fields, unless it's part of an <apex:outputPanel escape="false"> element.

Really though a better solution would be to use conditionally rendered elements here. Something like:

<apex:outputLink rendered="{!relatedTo.sample__c = true}" value="http://www.google.com">
      Google
</apex:outputLink>
<apex:outputText rendered="{!relatedTo.sample__c != true}">Value if False<apex:outputText>

The rendered attribute controls if the element is displayed or not, and since they have mutually exclusive values only one of the two will ever be rendered.
