To answer your questions:
- In your build I would take Warmog's Armor or Guardian Angel as the last item.
- I think Infinity Edge is better since it works well with Atma's Impaler
However, you cannot think like that. There is no build which is generally good. Sometimes it is better to get this item othertimes that item.
If you want a general build for Yorick I would go for this one:
- Boots of Speed + 3 or 4 health pots (4 pots - when solo top, wait near the fountain and buy 4th pot ASAP)
- Tear of the Goddess => Manamune
- probably Mercury Treads unless they have a heavy ad team, then I would go for Ninja Tabi
- straight for Atma's Impaler
- Warmog's Armor (tankier build) or Frozzen Mallet (better chasing)
- The other one of the previously mentioned items or the new item Maw of Malmortius
- Trinity Force (damage) / Guardian Angel (tanky build) / Infinity Edge (in case I have Frozen Mallet)
In case of a need I would upgrade boots before finishing Manamune, but after Tear of the Goddess. If I woudlnt be doing very well I would also get Wriggle's Lantern after Manamune or even before that and Spirit Visage, but those are items you want to sell in late game.
Early boots upgrade and Atma will give you enough resists and in combination with Manamune you will have circa 250 AD.
Finally, I think that Yorick is better with a tankier build rather than AD.
Ad NOTE: I think Nasus benefits more from a far different build. Urgot is also good with Manamune and Atma, but before Atma he really needs Brutaliser and after Atma it is better to go different items. You can also build Frozen Heart before Atma which makes you even tankier and gives you some damage, too (since you have Manamune).
For starters, 3 slots are usually taken for standard items: gold item, sightstone and boots. This leaves 3 open slots for other items. And you won't probably not fill them until 25 mins of game (unless it's unbalanced).
Most supports has been reviewed to get more utility based on their AP or an other stat. So, an efficient way to spend gold on support is by getting items that provide help in teamfight and using that particular stat.
Example (for Lulu which I play a lot), I go for Morellonomicon for CoolDown Reduction (more whimsy, more ults, more slow, more shields), then depending on the enemy team: abyssal scepter for magic resist or Zhonya's Hourglass for armour. Last item can be either twin shadows for more MR and the active or Rabbadon's Deathcap for a real boost in AP late game, since all the kit of Lulu is being more efficient with AP (stronger slow, stronger speed boost, stronger shield and more health given by the ult).
Some items remains situational (at least for Lulu) like Solari, Mickael's Crucible, Randuin or spirit visage. However, they've became more interesting for supports like Taric, which scales with armour and bonus health. This goes the same for other supports that aren't damage-oriented (like Nidalee).
By the way, I would disagree on the fact that AP builds aren't for teamfights. When utility scales on AP, then AP is good for teamfight.
I would also strongly discourage supports (non damaged oriented) to go for long-term items like rod of ages, or seraph's embrace. These need times to build up their strength, and supports need the first three items (sightstone, gold item and boots) A.S.A.P. (the first two provide gold, the last will avoid you getting constantly killed).
As a conclusion, supports can spend their gold to strengthen their advantages and diminish their weaknesses.

For max damage? Build Like an ADC without def. Buy 2 Dorans->IE->Berserkers->Trinity Force->Blade of the ruined King->Last Whisper->Bloodthirster.
This would be most damage. However never build max damage on Nidalee!!.
If you are in a real game and you want to play safe and successful you should go for Dorans Blade (1 or 2 depending on when you go back) -> Blade -> Boots (either Mercury or Ninja Tabi) -> Trinity Force -> Randuins/Spirit Visage -> Randuins/Banshees/Spirit Visage -> Situational Last item.
Just buy the item that helps against their main damage source as a defensive item. When it comes to the last item, there could be really almost any item that's viable on a bruiser. You can go for More defense with Warmogs or Frozen Heart, you can go for More offense with Maw of malmortius or last whisper/Black Cleaver and you can also go for a safe guardian angel. For the trinity force part: you can also replace Triforce with Iceborn gauntlet. It does a nice amount of damage and it gives you more armor and CDR.
So yeah. Max damage: ADC, Normal Build: Bruiser. Just keep in mind that bruiser builds are extremely situational.
